Thankfulness

“Every day may not be a good day but there is good in every day.”  Quote from Edith Mae Gaines my grandmother extraordinaire. Who also said, “be sure and keep your porch swept, your house maybe dirty but you can still sit with company on the porch.”  That also included a glass of iced tea.  I am thankful that this wonderful woman was in my life.

This year was the fifth anniversary of Premier Shooting & Training Center.  A dream that became an idea, then became a reality.  A family owned, family operated, community-oriented business that believes in doing the right thing.  From the start we endeavored to build a company on the foundation of quality services, integrity, and a strong belief in the First and Second Amendments.  I am thankful that we have been able to do that and now look at expanding our vision even further.

This year Myron David Rowland my husband and owner of Premier passed away after a long and hard-fought battle.  I am thankful that he died at home surrounded by family and friends.

This year Hannah my first grandchild married the love of her life Robb.  I am thankful.

This year my youngest grandchild turned 4. I am thankful

This year was a milestone birthday for myself and my son Jim.  I am thankful.

This year several of my friends died of COVID, and several of my family and friends survived COVID.  I am sad and thankful.

This year my 14-year-old granddaughter was diagnosed with Leukemia.  That has saddened my heart. But she is at the best Children’s Hospital in Ohio, with the best doctors and nurses.  She will beat this disease. I am thankful.

This year I read about a 20-year-old college student from Xavier that has developed a water bottle and is selling it to build wells in African villages that have no running water and I know that I am blessed.

This year as you gather with family, friends, employers, employees, perfect strangers, or serving at homeless shelters, give an additional tip to your servers, smile at the people at McDonalds and say thank you…  No matter how good or bad the circumstance, it is a season to give thanks.

Tommie, Jim, Hannah, and the entire Premier family send you a heartfelt thank you for your patronage and God Bless.
